“Greece’s relationship with the United Arab Emirates is a strategic relationship, a long-term relationship, which means a lot to both countries,” Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said in a statement during a visit to the UAE.
The foreign minister said that this was his fourth visit and meeting with his counterpart and friend Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, prior to which there was also a visit by the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
“We had the opportunity, first of all, to discuss relations between Greece and the United Arab Emirates in all sectors, in defence, energy, economy, tourism,” said Dendias.
“But also to review the issues of our wider region – Turkey, Libya, the Middle East – and for me to inform him about the forthcoming visit by India’s foreign minister to Athens, something which is very important for us and for the United Arab Emirates,” he said.
