Ανάρτηση του Λευκού Οίκου επιβεβαιώνει προηγούμενες αναφορές διεθνών πρακτορείων ειδήσεων ότι δυνάμεις ειδικών επιχειρήσεων των ΗΠΑ, εντόπισαν και ανέκτησαν το δεύτερο μέλος του πληρώματος του μαχητικού F-15Ε, που καταρρίφθηκε πάνω από το Ιράν.
Σύμφωνα με τις αναφορές η επιχείρηση διεξήχθη με ισχυρή αεροπορική κάλυψη για την εξουδετέρωση τοπικής αντίστασης και ότι όλες οι δυνάμεις έχουν πλέον αποχωρήσει από το Ιράν.
