Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will have a meeting with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Monday, April 3, as part of the latter’s visit to Greece. First of all, the Emirati foreign minister will be received by the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in the presence of the foreign minister, according to a foreign ministry’s announcement.
At 14:05, the two foreign ministers will have a one-on-one meeting, after which extended talks will take place between the two delegations. The discussions are expected to focus on further strengthening the strategic cooperation of the two countries in a wide range of sectors, such as economy, investment, energy and tackling climate change.
At the same time, they are expected to cover international and regional developments of mutual interest, including developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, Libya and the Middle East, as well as European Union – UAE relations and regional cooperation schemes.
It is recalled that the foreign minister made bilateral visits to the UAE in December 2022, June 2022 and June 2021.
