Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation with the United Kingdom’s counterpart Keir Starmer.
Government sources say that during the phone conversation the latest developments around Ukraine were discussed.
The same sources note that Mitsotakis reiterated Greece’s position in favour of justice and lasting peace in Ukraine. He also noted that the US-Ukrainian proposal for a 30-day ceasefire is a positive step, stressed that Russia should respond, and expressed hope that US and European efforts would lead to peace.
