Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness Kostas Fragogiannis will lead a large business delegation that is to visit Istanbul on Thursday and Friday.
Fragogiannis will be accompanied by the general secretary for international economic relations and president of EnterpriseGreece, Maira Myrogianni.
The delegation is part of the broader effort to enhance bilateral economic and trade relations with Turkiye. High-ranking executives from 75 Greek enterprises active in the food, construction, shipping, tourism, pharmaceuticals, energy and banking sectors are joining the mission, as well as senior officials in business associations, such as the Chair of the Executive Committee of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises Efthymios Vidalis, Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Sofia Kounenaki-Efremoglou, the president of Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vassilis Korkidis, the president of Greek Exporters Association, Symeon Diamantidis, and the president of the Greek-Turkish Chamber of Commerce, Panagiotis Koutsikos.
On the first day of his visit, Fragogiannis will meet with Greek entrepreneurs in Istanbul and will deliver a speech at Kadir Has University on the prospects of economic cooperation between Greece and Turkiye. In the evening the Greek delegation will attend a dinner hosted by the prominent Istanbul businessman Byron Nikolaidis, with the participation of Turkish entrepreneurs. Nikolaidis is the founder and managing director of PeopleCert.
