President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, who was in Sofia for the second day for the Three Seas Initiative summit, noted in a tweet on Friday that Greece’s presence at the summit added a fourth sea, the Mediterranean, for the benefit of all involved.
“Greece is taking part for the first time, with the status of guest country, in the Summit of the Three Seas Initiative. I pointed out that its stronger relationship with this cooperation formation will add a fourth sea, the Mediterranean, for the benefit of all parties,” Sakellaropoulou said.
This is the first time that Greece has been invited to attend the Three Seas Initiative, which brings together countries on the shores of the Baltic, Adriatic and Black Seas.
