Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the visiting European People’s Party (EPP) President and head of the EPP’s group at the European Parliament Manfred Weber at Maximos Mansion on Thursday evening.
Weber is visiting Athens to participate in a joint event by the ruling New Democracy and the EPP.
Government sources said that the two leaders discussed the EPP’s strategy ahead of the European Parliament elections and issues related to the European Union’s future and the challenges it faces. They also discussed the migration flows to Europe and the EU’s new Migration and Asylum Pact, as well as the latest developments in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip.
