Minister of Migration and Asylum Dimitris Kairidis held a meeting with the Ambassador of Albania to Greece Luela Hajdaraga, on Tuesday.
As per an official statement from the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, it was revealed that approximately 60% of legal immigrants in Greece originate from Albania highlighting Greece’s significant contribution to the stabilization and development of Albania, surpassing that of any other country. The statement also emphasizes the pivotal role of Athens in shaping Tirana’s European perspective.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Migration and Asylum has initiated regular dialogues with representatives of the Albanian migrant community to address various issues concerning them. In response, Hajdaraga expressed gratitude to Kairidis for the cooperation extended and commended Greece for hosting and providing employment opportunities to thousands of Albanian citizens.
