A draft law on upgrading the Greek Armed Forces was tabled in Parliament on Monday by the National Defense Ministry.
The bill’s partial title is “Transition Map of the Armed Forces into the New Era” and includes regulations on the career and advancement of officers, wage regulations for Armed Forces staff, reorganization of academic training for them, recruitment of soldiers, and voluntary recruitment of women. The regulations are part of the ‘Agenda 2030’ for the Armed Forces.
Its details had been presented by National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias and approved by the cabinet that was chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on September 30.
