In response to a request from Greece’s ambulance service, EKAB, the Hellenic Armed Forces have supplied a C-27J aircraft in order to airlift Archbishop of Albania Anastasios from Tirana to Athens.
According to sources at the defence ministry, a process to issue the necessary diplomatic permits is underway via the appropriate channels.
