The Emirati ambassador to Greece, Sulaiman Al-Mazroui, in his greeting at the celebration of the national day of the UAE in Athens expressed the common will of Greece and the United Arab Emirates to further build their cooperation at a higher level, but also the certainty that the economic cooperation will be more prosperous.
On the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of their unification, Sulaiman Al-Mazroui spoke of the dynamic strengthening of bilateral relations.
In particular, he focused on last year’s presence in the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) in which it was an honored country, but also in the first investment roadshow of the UAE in Greece last October.
He expressed his satisfaction over the further development of bilateral relations, with an emphasis on investment and business relations between the two countries. “We are moving towards sustainable economic ties to strengthen bilateral business partnerships,” he underlined.
He also referred to the organization of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) organised by the UAE and held in Dubai, where Greece is represented by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The UAE is hosting the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, ‘COP28’ from November 30 to December 12 at EXPO CITY, Dubai. Climate change is a global problem that requires a global effort, and COP28 will be the conference for action, Sulaiman Al-Mazroui stressed. He noted that COP28 is a prime opportunity to review and redefine the climate agenda.
