National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias met on Wednesday with Foreign Affairs Minister of the Philippines Enrique A. Manalo, who is on an official visit to Athens, and they discussed prospects of boosting Greek-Filippino cooperation in the defense sector and the cordial relations between their two countries.
They also exchanged views on international and regional defense and security issues, based on respect of International Law, and underlined the importance of free shipping, an issue that both Greece and the Philippines attach particular significance to, a Greek National Defense statement said.
Attending the meeting were high-level military officials.
