The yield on Greece’s 10-year bond fell to historically low levels on the secondary bond market on Thursday, dipping below the 0.9 pct threshold to reach 0.882 pct. This was linked to an extremely high turnover related to the extensive intervention of the European Central Bank, which is to continue ahead of the second wave of the pandemic.
Turnover on Wednesday on the secondary market managed by the Bank of Greece was close to half a trillion euros, from 4.0 billion euros for the entire month of September.
